Decorating for Fall at Kathleen's Dollhouse

I am completely in love with this dollhouse.  It belongs to Kathleen
Holmes, and I featured it on my other blog several years ago.  You
can link up to part one of that tour HERE.

Today I wanted to share some of her fall decorating with you.

Pumpkins on the mantel in this cozy living room.

In the dining room too.

And in the kitchen!

Kathleen and her husband just completed a major move into their
new full size home, and Kathleen's dollhouse was completely packed
away for that move.  She has been working hard to unpack all the
dollhouse minis and putting them back in place.  So, we will
visit her again to see more of her fabulous rooms and decor.

One thing to keep in mind, Kathleen has been collecting miniatures
for many years.  Many of the things she has are one of a kind.
Don't be discouraged when decorating your own dollhouse.  Start
small and scour sites selling minis.  eBay is a good place to look
and etsy too.  Don't overlook estate sales.  There are also talented
miniaturists who sell their furniture and accessories too.  I will
introduce you to them also.  Starting and growing a dollhouse is
a very fun pastime.  And just remember, you can design it any way
you like.  Let you imagination soar!

Dear Daisy Cottage Dollhouse

Aside from being enchanted by Kimberly McCole's full size
cottage which she lovingly calls Dear Daisy Cottage, she also
has a tiny cottage full of her fun and cheerful decor in miniature.

Let's take a peek inside!

The rooms are decorated in bright primary colors.

There is a tiny replica of Kim's real live pup whose name is
Miss Maggie.  This miniature pup as her own name and it is
Miss Maisy.

So cute!

I love Kimberly's collection of miniature chairs in such cute fabrics too.

A sweet tiny apron just waiting to be worn.

There is a four poster bed upstairs with tiny crocheted shams and bed spread.

I so enjoy visiting other miniaturists.  It's fun to see their own spin on
creating a tiny world for us all to slip away to and enjoy!

Thank you Kimberly for letting me share your charming world with others.

Love,
Susan and Bentley

Christmas at Ribbonwood Cottage

Now that it's September, the holiday season will be upon us soon and
I thought y'all might enjoy seeing some charming Christmas miniatures
by talented Debbie Booth of Ribbonwood Cottage.

I am completely in love with this adorable Christmas pillow on
the miniature porch swing!  It is one of Debbie's creations.

This hot cocoa station is so charming!

I love the colors on the island.

This island is devoted to gingerbread baking.  I so want to
shrink myself down and join in the fun.

Look at the cute bedroom.  So cozy and festive.

An armoire filled with miniature quilts.

I hope this gives you some ideas for your own Christmas miniature
rooms.  If you have not started a miniature collection yet, maybe
these darling rooms will make you want to start.

Debbie has an etsy shop where she sells her 1/12 scale minis.
She also makes accessories for Barbie and Blythe dolls too.
You can visit her shop HERE.

Thanks for stopping by today!
